Menajahtwa est un groupe de rap féminin originaire de Compton, en Californie, aux États-Unis. Formé dans les années 1990, le groupe était composé de membres talentueuses Traci Nelson et Rythme D.
La chanson « La la la » est l’un de leurs singles les plus emblématiques, sorti le 23 août 1994. Cette chanson a été écrite par Menajahtwa en collaboration avec Michael Sarsfield. Elle a été produite par Rythme D et exécutivement produite par DJ Yella & Eazy-E (N.W.A.), des figures notables de la scène hip-hop de l’époque.
Traci Nelson, avec sa voix distinctive, a assuré les voix de fond de « La la la », ajoutant une profondeur et une texture uniques à la chanson. Les instruments, y compris la guitare et la basse, ont été interprétés par Mike « Crazy Neck » Sims, apportant une énergie particulière à la piste.
L’enregistrement et le mixage de « La la la » ont été réalisés par Son Donovan « Tha Dirtbiker » aux Studios Audio Achievements à Torrance, en Californie. La maîtrise finale de la chanson a été confiée à Bernie Grundman et Brian Gardner, des noms respectés dans l’industrie musicale.
