Derrick Rose won MVP over Lebron that year because he lead his team the Bulls to the top seed in the east with 62 wins and Lebron’s team was 2nd with 58. Add the fact that Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer the next best players were injured for part of the season and Lebron was also playing with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.
